AWLA is an incorporated society (#241905) and charity (#43284) run by volunteers. See www.awla.org.nz.
AWLA is collecting and storing your personal information so that we can:
- administer your membership;
- maintain a database of AWLA members (past and present);
- comply with the law; and
- send you our newsletter, invitations, notices, questionnaires and other relevant information.
AWLA is required to maintain a register of members which must include the name, address and date of joining of each member so you must provide that information (with date of joining being determined annually by AWLA) and pay your membership fee before your application can be accepted. The other information requested is useful but it is not mandatory to supply it. Your personal information will be retained for as long as AWLA determines necessary to facilitate the above purposes. The collection and retention of your information is governed by the Privacy Act 1993. You may request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold by emailing us. AWLA may work with other organisations to administer our database and the delivery of services, but if we do so we will take reasonable steps to ensure all information is held securely
By returning your completed form to AWLA you are accepting these terms and acknowledging that the details you have provided are true and correct. Please do not forget to update us if your details change during the year – we do not want to lose contact.
