Earlier this month, AWLA filed submissions to the Select Committee in support of the Employment Relations (Employee Remuneration Disclosure) Amendment Bill.
The submissions recognised the alarming gender pay gap statistics in Aotearoa, particularly in respect of the intersectional impact felt by Māori and Pacific women. AWLA highlighted the importance of pay transparency to address the systemic inequities which give rise to pay disparity.
