The Silky Otter – day 8

Blog day  8 – blown away

Dear fellow captives,

Short column today dear readers. Migraine woke me (not a pet name for husband). Bugger.

Warm and fuzzies

Got the warm and fuzzies yesterday thanks to you, dear readers. Its helping me hold up through the throbbing head, fuzzy eyes and whole-body exhaustion.

You see I received some amazing logos yesterday. And I mean amazing! Unbelievable the effort and talent that has gone into them to date. Hot competition indeed! For those who have not yet contributed but thought they might, the competition will remain open until Friday and I will then announce (with the concurrence of El-Presidento of course) the winner. So, if there are any others out there with talent and time, bring it on!

When I say that the talent is unbelievable, I mean it!  I have no talent outside of the law (which is still questionable and variable). I am ultra-impressed and considerably jealous of anyone who displays multiple talents.

I can’t paint, draw, play music and I certainly can’t sing. I do sing loudly and awfully badly at home and torture my family. But I am so bad at it, I am stuck with lip syncing in church. I don’t need forgiveness for that deceit though. I figure I am doing everyone a favour. The much shorter point than I am making it right now is – I am stuck with the law. I have no other talents. I bit like a marriage or civil ceremony, I am stuck with the law for better or worse. And I am not a glorious law loving, read cases at night for fun type of lawyer. I know there are quite a few of you out there. I enjoy helping people. Oh, and I enjoy winning.

Actually the short point was my absolute and genuine amazement at those competitors and their talents. Must stay on point. Bravo to my competitors! I am seriously grateful for and quite touched by the contributions to date.

Just gratitude today

Dear readers I will simply express my gratitude today and crawl back to my sick bed. Back tomorrow to end the week with a bang (well probably not, really just more useless nonsense).

Kia kaha, my lovelies, and adieu. Stay safe and remember, being sick sucks.
