All incorporated societies in New Zealand must update their constitution to comply with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and re-register via the Companies Office by 5 April 2026. The new constitution must include mandatory clauses regarding member consent, dispute resolution, and officer duties. Failure to do so will result in the society being dissolved.
AWLA has updated its Constitution and this will be discussed for approval at our General Meeting on 9 March 2025 at 6pm, held at Simpson Grierson (27/88 Shortland Street, Auckland CBD).
